NKHR Rescue Fund
NKHR Rescue Fund is a volunteer group within the Citizens' Alliance for North Korean Human Rights (NKHR), a non-governmental organization. We are an all-volunteer group that raises money to rescue North Korean refugees through fundraisers and online campaigns.
Our fundraisers raise money to safely rescue North Korean refugees trying to reach South Korea, while also raising awareness of the human rights violations that refugees suffer. We hold a variety of events in Seoul, from trivia nights, to film screenings, to Q&As with North Koreans who have resettled in Seoul. Citizens' Alliance for North Korean Human Rights
Citizens' Alliance for North Korean Human Rights (NKHR) is the umbrella organization under which the Rescue Fund operates. NKHR not only offers relief for North Korean refugees on their journey to freedom, but also advocates for improved human rights conditions and assists North Korean youth as they resettle in South Korea. NKHR works in four areas:
- Advocacy and Campaigns -- Exposing North Korea's human rights violations
- North Korean Youth Programs -- Educating and integrating North Korean youth resettling in South Korea
- Public Awareness -- Raising awareness of North Korean human rights
- Refugee Rescue -- Providing assistance to North Korean refugees at risk
